Due to the company’s growth we are looking for a Customer Support Engineer to join the ONE & YachtCloud team. In this role, you will serve clients in luxury superyachts, aviation, and high-end residential worldwide with exceptional technology. You will work with some of the decerning clients who expect nothing but the best, providing them with exceptional technical support and service.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and flexible problem solver, with great communication skills and an interest in AV, IT & technology. If you have worked with such (or related) technology in the past, this is a plus. This job is mainly office-based, with a flexible schedule that allows you to work in an inspiring office (Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam) and potentially visit client locationss in Europe and beyond.
In this role we are looking for:
Communication skills – you’ll be the first point of contact for the clients, you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical clients. You will work closely with your colleagues in Development, Sales, IT, and AV to find the right answers to technical requests. You are not afraid to ask that additional question to identify the client’s actual needs and can describe complex issues clearly, escalate accordingly to development, and track the resolution process until the client is fully satisfied.
Technical skills – you’ll need a solid understanding of technical concepts. Basic knowledge of Linux, networking, and AV is a plus, but not mandatory. You will receive training on the products and systems and the technical environment they operate in. You will be able to troubleshoot problems and assist engineers in the field with remote and on-site commissioning. You will also be responsible for preparing and testing products prior to shipping them to clients.
Problem solving skills – you’ll need exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly diagnose problems and resolve them in the time needed. You must also be able to think critically and creatively to come up with long-term solutions that will improve the products and the quality of the technology.
The work you’ll be doing
- Troubleshoot and assist clients on technical and functional level
- Suggest product improvements
- Assist and train the clients
- Prepare and test products and systems prior to shipping them to clients (quality control)
- Commission the products and systems on site
- Act as the bridge between client and the development team, and monitor the progression
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Guard & control stability and reliability of the products
- Assist in creating product documentation and manuals
